EAST PEORIA – Mendota Northbrook Middle School eighth grader, Mariyah Elam, brought home a medal from the IESA State Track Meet held on May 20 at East Peoria. She finished in fourth place in the 8-3A high jump event with a height of 4-11, which was a new personal best and a new school record.
