PERU - Seventy-nine Illinois Valley Community Hospital employees - including one who has worked at IVCH for 45 years - were honored at the hospital’s annual service awards dinner on April 27. The dinner took place at Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Club, LaSalle.

The 45-year award went to Debra Patyk, infection control coordinator at IVCH. Patyk began her nursing career as a nurse’s aide at People’s Hospital in 1972. People’s and St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle merged in 1976 to form IVCH.

Deanne Pinter of LaMoille, a clerk-transcriptionist in the health information management department, received a 35-year-award.

Employees earning 30-year awards included Lisa Grivetti (pharmacy), Catherine Marenda (laboratory), Cheryl Piano (laboratory), Nancy Zborowski (nursing services) and Ruth Zissler (laboratory)

Receiving 25-year awards were Lisa Casford (Illinois Valley Hospice), Michael Connors (Family Home Medical Equipment), Kara Dyke (nursing services), Donald Fruendt (physical rehab services), Diane Hunt (Illinois Valley Adult Day Center), Sonya Marquez (nursing services), Teresa Skoflanc (nursing services), Linda Smith (pharmacy), Joanne Vaccaro (patient financial services), Dawn Verucchi (diagnostic imaging) and Roberta Wendel (diagnostic imaging).

Awards were also given to employees for 20, 15, 10 and five years.
